The "Center" of the Universe

For over 40 years in the hobby of Amateur Radio I, as many other's have, required to source parts from overseas. On many occasions I have attempted to get parts from the US only to be told, we only deal with people in the US!

The attitude from most American's (generalisation) is that they are the "Center" of the Universe and anyone outside the US is a terrorist! The only times I have had success with dealing with anyone in the US over the years has been with ex-Military service personnel that have travelled the world and realise we are not all the enemy!

My latest attempt was to purchase a callsign sticker for a radio and was told the usual "we only post within the US". Now really how much is it going to cost to put a sticker in a normal postage envelope?

Some have blamed this attitude on Trump but that is NOT the case because it has been going on for over 40 years, it is just the closed minds of the average American that does not see past his front door step.
